If you are in 9th grade and want to change schools because of different good reasons, it is possible. Your counselor may have told you it was too late because she doesn't think you should transfer in the middle of the year.

You can only change schools if your parents transfer you. In addition, you mustake sure that you are in the correct zoning district.
It depends if they want to hear it or not. Make it as professional as possible. Find better attributes about the school you want to switch to: programs you are interested in, teachers who are concidered knowledgeable for their studies in a specific area, extra corricular activity. Or if it for personal reasons also include that fact that your current situation in just emotionally unsatisfying and why the reasons you want to change are important to you and your future success... Good luck. Also, you may want to present the test scores of your current school and the school you would like to transfer to. Anything on paper will help!!
