Very strong in customer service areas, focus, goals orientated, quick learner
A lot of Job Applications do not even ask for that particular information. I would type up a resume' that included those things and hand it in along with their application. Example: QUALIFICATIONS Proficient in MS Office Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook Years of customer service and office experience Able to multi-task while maintaining organization and accuracy Excellent communication skills Then you can have a heading called "Career Achievements" and only list the most important ones or the ones that pertain to the position you are applying for. As for areas of strength, it is not needed because that is covered under Qualifications. The first thing on your resume' should be your name, complete address, phone number, then email address (which is optional). Then the first heading should be your OBJECTIVE: which tells the employer exactly what it is you hope to achieve. Keep it short and to the point. Then comes the QUALIFICATIONS. The ones listed above are for an office position. Then the heading EDUCATION. The only education you list here is the training you've had outside of public schools. In other words, do NOT list elementary, middle or high schools. If that is all the education you have achieved so far, then just list your high school, along with how many years attended. Example: EDUCATION 1985-1990 Diploma, Anywhere High School Then list your EMPLOYMENT dates go here name of company you worked for city, state of Co. your job title key points pertaining to that job Example: 07/2005 to present Great Office Company Lexington, KY Office Assistant Process & maintain all employee and account files Handles and enters invoices on all accounts Tracks and enters account balances Assists with Accounts Receivable, Payable and Payroll Developed & improved company forms and reports So you see you not only get to list your qualifications, but the strengths and achievements that you accomplished at each job you had. Even though you turn in a resume', most places will still have you fill out their application, but they should staple your resume to it. And believe me...IT WILL GET LOOKED AT. Hope this helps.

Describing a brief overview of your work experience involves giving information on where you have worked previously and what was required of your position. Describing an overview of your education involves giving information about which schools or universities that you have attended.

the person wants to hear a 2-3 minute overview of your career/professional history. An easy approach is to do a quick summary of your older career history and then quickly bring the listener up to the last 5-7 years of your career. Then focus on 2-3 key competencies that you have that you know the reader is going to want to know about (because you've done your homework) See a site called Careego for some great tips.
