The DOT explosives placard is a square on point (diamons) with an orange background and black ink. The word "Explosives" is written across the widest part of the placard. In the top corner is a drawing intended to suggest something in the process of exploding. Depending on the particular Division of the Explosivves class, different numbers and letters will be written in the lower corner.
