Divorce is a good thing when...

1. Both parties just want to move on and get on with their lives.

2. When the whole family is suffering because of the marital stress (in other words, you are resolving this problem and making the family's suffering go away to the extent that you possibly can).

3. When you both decide that it's the best way to go. At least you can agree on that, right?

If there is something bad going on in your marriage you need to know that you can feel safe around your spouse and if you are not then you need to get a divorce so you can live the rest of your life satisfied with the decision you chose.

If you are in a bad relationship, you should get out of it. If you see areas of improvement which could easily be changed, go to counseling before you take the matter any further. If the relationship is abusive, you have the right to get out of the relationship.

divorce is most definetly not good for a family. the parents are stressed and same with the children undergoing such a big change. it's tough on everybody, and can effect the way the child act's.
