Even with parental approval, many states will require court approval when a person is 16 years of age or less.

Any adult in a relationship with a minor under 16 can be charged with RAPE IN THE SECOND DEGREE if turned into the police by a parent or gardian of a victim. If it was a willing action this doesn't matter the minor cannot do a thing about it. The punishment is 1-15 years in the Oklahoma Prison System. ∙ 14y agoThe Uniform Code of Military Justice states the age of consent is 16 years old, which is also the statutory age in Oklahoma. However, if the soldier's chain of command finds out that they are dating someone under 18, there will likely be repercussions on an 'unofficial' level.
