^ haha actually you can legally. theres a handfull of people that do though... you can get a panda a wild cat like a tiger or you can get a monkey or anything. in Michigan you can legally take it to the area you live in. i had an endangered monkey and actually they make amazing pets! it lived the full lifespan and it was easy to take care of. and they wont kill you if you raise it from a cub to an adult. the only one that would more than likely kill you is a red panda. those suckers are nasty. the person above should study up Michael Jackson he had a whole zoo in neverland. and they could hve raped you andyour children like a would

You can't legally buy one unless it's through a charity, and even so, you aren't allowed to keep it with you. You might be able to adopt one at your nearest zoo, that way you can visit it from time to time and watch it grow, but the Zoo would take care of the panda. Otherwise, I think you're stuck. G'luck!

A lot of people say it is illegal but it actually not to keep a panda (I dont know about red panda). But the maintenance is extremly high and demanding, all of pandas on earth are owned by china. You actually need a forest bamboo and much more, and they actually have to give you a panda expert to make sure they survive! But that is for a limited amount of time. I hate how people say it is illegal when they dont know their sources.
