The army wore similar clothing to the Royalists but they could afford a lot more metal armour that the Royalists as they had more money and this would have caused less injuries/deaths. Some still would've worn leather as the full body armour was expensive and people like musketeers wouldn't so much have needed armour as they'd generally only need something to protect themselves from gunpowder. Like the Royalists, some soldiers would just have to wear normal clothes due to expense too. Again, the leaders and officers would have worn more expensive, special clothing such as velvet or laced clothing.
