Grell Sutcliff's exact age is unknown. Grell takes his reaping exam in 1799, and appears as half of Jack the Ripper in 1888, so he is well over the age of 89. However, Yana Toboso has written that he looks as if he is around the age of 29.

ok im gonna answer this mostly off dates that we know of so no this is NOT CANON (unless by some twist Yana agrees lol)

so Grelle takes her Grim Reaper Exam in 1799 and "helps" Madam Red in 1888 Yana has said Grelle appears 25-28 so lets say the Reapers "keep" their human age appearance (basically if they killed themselves when they were 15 they would still look 15 as a Reaper) if that is so then Grelle wouldve killed herself when she was 25-28 which would put her birth year 1773 therefore giving her the "Reaper age" of 119

Grell never gives his exact age, but Yana Toboso (the creator of Black Butler) has stated that Grell 'looks' like he is about 29. However, more accurately Grell is at least a few hundred years old.

he has long red hair, green eyes and uses a chainsaw as his scythe

Grell is 157 years old because she is born in 1863 (2020-1863)but in anime she's 25-28 years old (1888/1891). I know it' strange but that's the explanation.🙂
