The grinch was narrated by Boris Karloff, better known for the Frankenstein Monster role. He may well have acted old Green-skin Frankie with staybolts in his neck on Halloween. Karloff is as identified with Frankenstein as say, Frank Lloyd Wright with architects.
Cindy Lou Who first speaks to the Grinch when she encounters him in the middle of his plan to steal Christmas. She innocently asks him, "Why are you taking our Christmas tree?" This interaction highlights her innocence and curiosity, contrasting with the Grinch's initial intentions. Her sweet demeanor ultimately plays a role in softening his heart.

Theodor Geisel, who wrote under the pen name of "Dr. Suess," never gave a backstory regarding this famous yuletide creation. The book "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" was written and published in 1957. Geisel did say that the Grinch reminded him of himself as he attempted to rediscover something of the real meaning of Christmas, but this was never part of the story. In fact, the only reason given for the Grinch's hatred of Christmas is that his heart was "two sizes too small." The Jim Carrey adaptation to film in 2000 of the Grinch made much more of a backstory to flesh out the plot of the film, but did so without any creative input from the author.

On 12/22/08 my US Bank ATM did not dispense the 600.00 that I requested but it was withdrawn from my account. I have been told that it will be 10 business days until I get a provisional credit and that it could take up to 45 days for a final resolution. They say that taking the money away quickly is for my protection but I am not sure how waiting 10 days for any resolution is helping me during an economic recession and the Christmas Holidays. US Bank, the Grinch that Stole Christmas!
