the game will play and you can use the paddle, however the wireless guitar will not work on the PS3. i have heard there is some kind od adpater that you buy but i have not been able to find one

They most likely will. I checked a couple of weeks ago. There were only 3 or 4 games to be released in 2011. But I just checked again, and the games to be released were not on Gamestop.com. I would imagine they have been cancelled and so the life cycle of PlayStation 2 is nearing the end.
