The story is based on 2 ladies, Julie Powell, and Julia Child. Julie Powell decides that she wants to cook through the whole cook book of Julia Child. This side of the movie is present day (shortly after the twin towers fell). The other side of the stor y is based in the 1950s focusing on how Julia child became who she was. It goes through her life in France and struggles to create a french cookbook for servantless Americans. I love this movie a lot, the music is amazing and the story line will inspire you to cook.
