I have a few friends who are singers(and I mean with top 100 hits) so let me tell you: It can be fun if your in it because of your passion for music but it is still a lot of airports and a lot of hotelrooms, almost no privacy at all(cuz of paps), you will be away from home alot and you might get difficulty with making new friends because you will never know if they want to be friends because of who you are or if they want to friends because your "rich and famous". Also if you want to be a singer because you want to be "rich and famous" and want alot of glam, I can tell you this your not gonna make it in the music industry. It's a hard world and you need some serious drive to get where you want.

you need to have

1)Vocal presence... there are a lot of people with a beautiful voice but they done make it big... they lack presence

2) leve n impression... when you leave the stage you need to be able to stay with your audiance in sound,

3) individuality- individuality is very important. no one wants to listen to another Elvis Presley, or Micheal Jackson or medonna they want NEW!!

4)lyrics- the words you use to make your song needs to linger in the mind and dance on the tongue of every listner,

5)social connection- you need to be able to be well connected in the fielt to give u the initial push

6) back up- u need to have a back up of a very good record company.

7)stage oresence- you need to make the stage move to your beat. remind everyone who the leader is

8) concentrate on being "very good" not " very famous" and the latter will just fall in place.
