Everyone is wrong here; the band doesn't pay for advertisement, venue, lighting etc. The promoters do. The only time that happens is if the band/act wants to go beyond what the promoter can afford(which usually doesn't happen) as far as how much they make that really varies in a lot of things. They don't really make that much money? Have you seen some of these bands houses, cars and lifes? Please some of these bands make more than you can shake a stick at.
