A fourteen year old 'what'? Boy, girl, tree, hamster? It is impossible to say what is normal; you could have short parents and still be tall, or tall parents and be short, or any combination of the heighth your parents. Girls tend to grow taller than boys in middle school, but of course there are exceptions. For example, my oldest sister stopped getting any taller at age 13, but I grew 5 more inches till adulthood. My two younger sisters grew 6 and 7 inches in height. I'm sure your school nurse has a growth chart that you can compare yourself to. Size is very important to young people, especially if they haven't reached puberty. You are who you are; if you don't grow very much more, be the best person that you can. Not all of the tall people can play Basketball, so don't let it get you down.
