Was Diana Adams from the mask real?

Yes, Diana Adams was a real person, as was Roy Lee Dennis AKA Rocky Dennis. She was blind he had a bone defect essentially causing his bones to continue to grow. Diana’s parents disapproved of the relationship and sent her to a school for the blind. She and Rocky remained optimistic and talked of one day running away together. Unfortunately, Rocky got headaches one night, and as his mother always had she said go to your room and make yourself better. Tough love, but the kind of love she gave and the treatment she gave Rocky made him a strong and smart young man. She taught him essentially that only he could hinder him. When diagnosed legally blind at age 7 his mom handed him a book and told him to read in front of the doctor. He did. He said he didnt believe in being blind.

His mother “Rusty” as she was called heard him stirring around at 6AM the morning of his passing but when she went to check on him at 10AM he had passed away. Heres a photo Of Rocky and Rusty before his passing in 1978 at 16 years old.
