No one knows for sure.
If we take our current solar system and extrapolate it to the number of stars and galaxies in the Universe then we have about 400,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 possible planets.
The number of "known" planets is increasing daily but it will be millions, possibly billions of years till we have a better estimate.
7 plus Pluto depending on what the sientists are currently calling it
Venus and Mars are the planets that are closest to the Earth.
No there are planets far out and near us that are younger
There are seven of them in our solar system. They all travel in a plane close to the plane the Moon travels in. Different times of the year, has different planets "near the Moon".
The Kepler mission is specifically designed to survey a portion of our region of the Milky Way galaxy to discover dozens of Earth-size planets in or near the habitable zone and determine how many of the billions of stars in our galaxy have such planets. Results from the mission will allow us to place our solar system within the continuum of planetary systems in the Galaxy.
There are 8 planets.
There are 7 main classification of Planets. They are classified into the following groups; * Inferior Planets * Superior Planets * Inner Planets * Outer Planets * Terrestial Planets, * Jovian Planets * Gas Giants
There are 9 Planets near are Solar System.
Some planets seem brighter - not all of them. Planets are quite near to us, as compared to the stars.
No there are planets far out and near us that are younger
Virtually all of the known planets are near a star. Occasionally, a rougue free floating one will be sighted, but they are rare anomalies.
I guess you mean how many planets can be seen from the US. In general, only five of the 8 planets in our solar system are sufficiently bright to be visible to the naked eye. These planets are: Mercury , Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. These planets can also be seen from the US.
Because planets near the sun are more hotter
Only stars go supernova - not planets

Mars and Saturn
We only know about the number of moons for our own solar system. Technology now lets us see very large planets around other nearby stars. We have found a few near Earth size. However currently we can not detect moons around planets in other solar systems.
