if you are smart enough, you know what to do:
1.if you noticed that the water suddenly became low you should get away from the area
2.if you heard news about earthquake predictions in the place your planning to go, you should no more go to the beach.
3.if you know that the tsunami is coming and you can really see it coming, you should go to a very very high stable area, if not, you have to run away for your lives!
A few minutes. Not long. Most of it depends on how strong the quake was that caused the tsunami and how far out it is from land.
A tsunami can cause widespread and severe flooding in coastal areas, leading to destruction of property, infrastructure, and loss of life. Strong currents and debris carried by the tsunami can pose a threat to people both in the water and on land. Additionally, tsunamis can result in long-term economic and environmental impacts on affected communities.
To draw a tsunami picture, start by creating a large wave with a crest that is towering over buildings or trees to depict the destructive force of a tsunami. You can add details like debris, boats, or people trying to escape to enhance the dramatic effect of the scene. Use different shades of blue to create depth and texture in the water.
Yes, some animals in the sea can die during a tsunami due to the force of the waves, disruption of their habitat, and changes in water levels. However, marine animals have evolved mechanisms to sense and escape natural disasters like tsunamis in some cases.
The first communication that can happen regarding in surviving a tsunami would be to warn the public allowing them enough time to allow them to escape to higher ground.Prior to that, there should be ongoing communication educating about preparing emergency plans in the event there is a tsunami. The time to figure out what evacuation route to take, supplies to grab, where the family will meet after an event, etc. is not during the emergency. If communication systems are still in place after a tsunami hits, they might help a rescue team find you.
Escape to an area of high altitude.

rush to a place with big gates and lock them completely.you can even hide inside big boats on the shore.

Personally, I belive so as tsunamis are harder to escape from and they last longer. Also, tornadoes can be minor, unlike tsunamis which are GIGANTIC sea waves that cause mass destruction to countries (take the 2004 tsunami for instance).
Compare: 1.) They are both natural disasters. 2.) They can kill people. 3.) They are linked to plate tectonics. 4.) Sometimes, they happen together, especially undersea earthquake triggering a tsunami. Contrast: 1.) In the Hong Kong Observatory, there is no earth quake warning but there is tsunami warning. 2.) There is only one way which triggers an earthquake, but there are several ways that triggers a tsunami like undersea earthquake, undersea volcano, severe undersea landslide, etc. 3.) Earthquakes destroy buildings, tsunami don't. 4.) Earthquakes are measured in Richter scale while tsunami is measured in tsunami scale. 5.) Tsunami comes from a Japanese word meaning "harbour wave". 6.) Earthquakes are mostly unpredictable, but tsunamis are sometimes predictable. 7.) Earthquakes vary in intensity while tsunami vary in height. 8.) It's difficult to escape an earthquake but it's easy to escape a tsunami. 9.) Earthquakes are considered as the modest or worst natural disasters ever.

its called a tsunami
"Tsunami" means Japanese harbor wave. That's why they call it tsunami.
