The five main themes of geography: location, place, human-environment interaction, movement, and region.

Location

-Absolute *83 degrees 29.7'N, 32 degrees 42.8'N

-Relative * Southeast, Above Florida, bordered by Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, North and South Carolina.

PLACE: Georgia is a southern US state. The soil was good for growing cotton which led to slavery because of the labor needed for growing cotton. Most of Georgia's cities are in the Piedmont with the good soil, with rivers to ship cotton and other goods to the coast.

HUMAN ENVIRONMENT INTERACTION: Georgia has adapted well. It has become a communications center for the South and much of the nation. It has a successful Baseball team and a broadcast network to show the games as well as a library of classic films, the Weather Channel, and other programs that feature home decorating and design as well as landscaping.

MOVEMENT: Georgia has major highways to route traffic. Atlanta now has the busiest airport in the world.

REGION: Georgia is part of the Cotton Belt, Bible Belt, and was part of the Confederacy.
