Under the U.S. Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), adopted by most US states, a "warning sign" may be one of three colors:
Yellow -- indicates an ordinary road hazard ahead (curve, crossroad, merge, etc)
Orange -- used for temporary construction hazards (detour, lane closed, etc)
Pink -- an emergency has created a completely new hazard ahead (fire, collision, police activity ahead).
A warning sign is generally in a "diamond" shape, i.e., a square rotated 45 degrees, so one corner is pointing down. However, a few US warning signs are rectangular, including an arrow sign and a chevron (curve-marking) sign.
The color for a warning sign is normally yellow in the USA, although temporary warning signs (e.g., construction) are orange and emergency (incident) warning signs are fluorescent pink.
The color yellow is often associated with electricity due to caution signs and high-visibility safety gear used in electrical work. However, electricity itself does not have a color.
All signs which actually contain the element neon are about the same color. However, some signs which contain elements other than neon are sometimes referred to as 'neon' signs. In this case, the signs with different elements are different colors than true neon signs.
The most common neon color is fluorescent green. Neon green is often used in signs, clothing, and accessories to grab attention and stand out.
Neon gas is used in neon signs, which are commonly seen in advertising and signage. Neon is also used in certain types of lighting, such as neon lamps and plasma discharge lighting. Additionally, neon is used in cryogenic applications and as a coolant in certain high-voltage applications due to its ability to remain gaseous at extremely low temperatures.
Its mostly Argon and a small amount of mercury. Its the main ingredients inside a flourescent lightbulb, which are used to light up billboards and highway signs. See the related link for more information on flourescent bulbs.

Red is often used for warning signs because it is a color that naturally grabs attention and is associated with danger or emergency situations. Blue, on the other hand, is more commonly used for informational or regulatory signs to convey a sense of calm and authority.
Common types of signs used for navigation and communication include road signs, nautical signs, aviation signs, and informational signs. These signs help people find their way, provide important information, and ensure safety in various environments.
Blue signs with lettering typically indicate informational signage, such as signs for rest areas, hospitals, or service facilities. They are often used for direction and guidance purposes on highways and roadways.
Corrugated signs are commonly used for temporary outdoor advertising or informational purposes, such as real estate signs, event promotions, political campaigns, or construction site notifications. They are lightweight, durable, and cost-effective, making them ideal for short-term messaging needs.
Some street signs are blue instead of green to convey specific types of information. Blue signs are typically used for guide signs, indicating services, parking, or points of interest, while green signs are generally used for directional and informational purposes related to road navigation. The color differentiation helps drivers quickly understand the nature of the information being presented. This distinction enhances road safety and improves the overall driving experience.

Circular signs are instructions (for example: speed limits, clearways, usage restrictions). Triangular signs are warnings of hazards (for example: falling rocks, deer crossing, low bridge). Rectangular signs are informational (for example: exit signs, place names, roundabout maps). Octagonal signs are stop signs, this is the only thing they are used for.
I've seen that the most popular color for real estates signs would have to be some shade of blue. It's understated but eye catching. A lot of sign companies allow fully customized signs now, with multiple colors, pictures and logos to better personalize it. Remember, when it comes to real estate signs, keep it clear, simple and informational. Check out the link below for more ideas on sign customization and colors.
The color red signs are not allowed in this area.
Signs intended to warn you of a hazard may be called "safety signs" by some, and they are red and yellow in color. Safety signs that are intended to tell you that something is "safe" are green in color.
Informational text is used to provide factual information on a topic, typically to educate or inform readers. It is commonly found in newspapers, textbooks, manuals, and websites. The purpose of informational text is to present accurate details, explanations, and descriptions.
