The healthy kind of fertilizer, which does not contain E coli and other nasty diseases, like the manure used on organic farms does. Perhaps you heard of the E coli outbreak a couple of years ago? That came from organic spinach, contaminated with E coli, from cow manure. The "unnatural" fertilizers used on conventional farms do not carry bacteria and diseases. Moreover, they are much more concentrated in the nutrients most needed by crops. And I would like to add that the use of the term "organic" has been totally removed from its actual meaning. The word means "containing carbon". Period. Everything that contains carbon is, by definition, organic. Living or dead; natural or man-made; USDA-approved or not. It's all organic. So there's no such thing as "inorganic agriculture", because everything that falls under the category of agriculture contains carbon. Every man-made insecticide or herbicide contains carbon. So do all the growth hormones and antibiotics. All of these products, which so-called "organic growers" say are so evil, are, in fact, organic. If you're looking for something inorganic that is used in agriculture, you need look no further than water. Water contains only hydrogen and oxygen - no carbon at all - and is therefore very much inorganic. And every single one of these so-called "organic growers" uses water.
