Habitat can mean the natural habitat of any creature or plant, but can also simply mean where something lives now. In the latter case, adaptation probably has taken place to enable the plant or animal to modify its structure, form or behavior in order to live and reproduce in a new environment. So, humans might migrate to a new area, taking animals and plants with them, and they all need to adapt to their new habitat if they are to survive. Similarly, one couldn't describe school as the habitat of young children, but when youngsters begin schooling they need to adapt to this new environment. ________________________ Habitat is where an animal lives. Adaptation is maybe an animal such as a monkey was injured and had to go to a rescue center But when it was better they had to release it, it would have to Adapt to its new or natural environment. Adaptation is where an animal has totally adapted to its new or natural environment.
The environment is the area around a species, including climate, predators, food, shelter, etc. An adaptation is when an animal needs new methods of survival. For example, hawks don't have a great sense of smell so they adapt by gaining very sharp eye-sight through natural selection and evolution (think of Pokemon if that helps ^_^).
Adapting to the environment means to learn it and adjust to fit in. For example when you move from denver to dallas you adjust to extreme heat in the summer to mild winters and also Allergies.
Response is how an organism reacts to stimulus
Adaptations inherited characteristics of a species that develops over time in a response to an enviromental factor, enabling it to let the species survive.
response is short term whilst an adaptation is long term
response is short term whilst an adaptation is long term
Enviroment is where you live and your surroundings,ADAPTATION is somewhere your starting to get use too and all that surrounds you.
hibernation
Adaptation (n) 1. Biology: alteration or adjustment in structure or habits, often hereditary, 2. Change in behavior of a person or group in response to new or modified surroundings.
B-cells differentiate into plasma cells and memory cells in the primary immune response. The memory cells then produce antibodies. In the secondary, memory cells created in the primary differentiate into plasma cells and secrete antibodies immediately. This is a much faster response, explaining why the secondary response causes a person to suffer less or unnoticeably.
by location and appearance
JABOL
Response is short term, adaptation is long
Migrating toward warming weather is a bird's response to cold weather, while a wolf growing a thicker coat is adaptation.
adaptation
If you place an electrode onto a muscle and the muscle contracts, that is a response to stimuli. An adaptation is the result of the evolution of a species to better suit its habitat. For example a snake is able to produce venom.

A reflex is a response to a stimulus that the animal was born with, but a learned behavior is a response to a stimulus that the animal learns or is taught.

adaptation
Conformity is the mode of adaptation in Merton's strain theory that is not considered a deviant response. In this mode, individuals accept both cultural goals and institutionalized means of achieving them.
