The primary producers of hormones are the adrenal glands, the gonads (ovaries in girls, testicles in boys), and the hypothalamus (a little projection off your brain). There are many other hormones produced by other organs of the body- like human chorionic gonadatropin (HCG- what we look for to test for pregnancy) produced by the fertilized egg then the placenta.
