The head is hydrophilic and the tail is hydrophobic.
Yes, the hydrophilic portion of the plasma membrane, which consists of the phospholipid head groups, is oriented towards the outside of the cell. This arrangement allows the hydrophilic heads to interact with the aqueous extracellular environment while the hydrophobic tails face inward to form the lipid bilayer.
The hydrophilic regions of a transmembrane protein are likely to be found on the exterior of the membrane. The transmembrane protein may have three parts: a hydrophilic segment, a hydrophobic segment, and another hydrophilic segment. The hydrophobic region would be in between the hydrophilic regions. The hydrophobic region will be embedded in the membrane and the hydrophilic regions will be on the inside and outside of the membrane.
The polar end of a phospholipid in the plasma membrane is hydrophilic, meaning it is attracted to water. This hydrophilic end faces outward towards the aqueous environment both inside and outside the cell.
they are hydrophilic
A hydrophyllic mixture is probably already dissolved in water. A solution is a mixture in which one substance dissolves in another, in this case water. In the case of the double layer of phospholipids that make up the cell membrane, the phosphate (hydrophillic) end dissolves in water and the lipid portion does not.
The "head" of the membrane, the phosphate.
Tail
Yes, the hydrophilic portion of the plasma membrane, which consists of the phospholipid head groups, is oriented towards the outside of the cell. This arrangement allows the hydrophilic heads to interact with the aqueous extracellular environment while the hydrophobic tails face inward to form the lipid bilayer.
The cell membrane is formed from a phospholipid bilayer, with the hydrophobic lipid portions (the tails) on the inner portion and the hydrophilic portion of the phospholipid (the heads) facing the inner and outer surfaces. There are also proteins in the cell membranes.

the hydrophilic easier than hydrophobic substances
The phospholipid have a hydrophilic (water attracting)_______
they are hydrophilic
The cell membrane is made out of two layers , a nonpolar and polar part. The polar part is the hydrophilic part , meaning water loving , and the nonpolar is hydrophobic part - water hating. The polar/hydrophilic part is inside of the membrane and the outer portion is the hydrophobic/nonpolar . You don't want the cell to exist in water or be soluble in water because then we would dissolve , all our cells , tissues etc. That's why the cell membranes outer portion is nonpolar and is not miscible with water . The cell membrane allows water molecules to come in and out of the cell by osmosis , and that is when water molecules can free out and in of the cell through the cell membrane .
Hydrophyllic heads and hydrophobic tails.
"philic" ( likes water)
