If the two bulbs use the same technology the 100 w bulb is 10/6 times brighter than the 60 w.

Incandescent bulbs give about 10-12 lumens per watt

Halgogen gives about 15-18 lumens per watt

CFL (low-energy) gives about 50 lumens per watt.

No way to know. Light is not proportional to watts. You could have a "30-watt bulb" that produces 50 times more light than an inefficient 60-watt bulb, depending upon what technology is used in each bulb.

What percentage is a 100 watt light bulb brighter than a 60 watt light bulb?

Original answer: Because it gives off more power. Updated answer: In general, because the 100-watt bulb produces more total light (lumens) because it also consumes more power than the 60-watt bulb. However, a 60-watt can produce more lumens than a 100-watt bulb, depending on the types of bulbs in question.

Which glows more brighter a 100 w bulb or a 75 w bulb explain?

A 100W bulb will generally glow brighter than a 75W bulb because it consumes more power and emits more light. The higher wattage means that more energy is being converted into light, leading to a brighter glow.

Where do you find a watt?

A watt is a measurement of electricity, usually pertaining to light. Light bulbs luminosity is graded by wattage, such as a 60 watt bulb, 100 watt bulb and so on. You would find a watt in a light bulb, to start.

What is brighter 2000 lumen watt bulb or a 1500 lumen bulb?

This question is ill posed. Lumen is a unit of measure for how much light comes from the lamp Watt is a unit of measure for how much energy is used by the lamp If the question were; "Which is brighter, a 2000 lumen bulb or a 1500 lumen bulb?" then the answer would be: The 2000 lumen bulb. I think the relation ship between lumen and watt is something like: Incandecent bulbs are 15w/lumen Flourecent bulbs use 40w/lumen LED bulbs are 70w/lumen The way to show the watt and lumen relationship is usually lumens (amount of light) per watt (energy consumption). This is like gas in your car (Miles or KM per Gallon or Liter). Incandescent bulbs have a maximum luminosity of 52 lumens/watt. Fluorescent bulbs range from 46 lumens/watt (CFL) to 100 lumens/watt (T5 and T8 tubes) LED bulbs range from 29 lumens/watt (older, low efficiency) to 100+ (XCree) and they are getting better.

How many lumens are in a 1000 watt incondescent light bulb?

A 1,000 watt is 15,000 lumens. A 100 watt bulb is 1,500 lumens.

What it is the difference between 100 watts and 75 watt light bulb?

The main difference between a 100-watt and a 75-watt light bulb is the amount of light output they produce. A 100-watt bulb will be brighter and consume more energy compared to a 75-watt bulb. The 100-watt bulb may also generate more heat than the 75-watt bulb.
