Their motto changed a few times during their ever-longing duties. The first one was "do your duty, come what may." My personal favorite. Their crosses also changed. Their first one being what looked like four triangles arranged in a shape of a cross. The tops faced in and the bottoms had two points. So a total of 8 points around the cross. They wore this on their right breast side as a sign of their alliance to suffering humanity.
