Tip Calculation Formula

Tip = Bill Amount × (Tip Percentage / 100)

Standard Tipping Amounts in the US

• Restaurants: 15-20% of the bill before tax for sit-down service.
• Bars: $1-2 per drink or 15-20% of the total tab.
• Food Delivery: 15-20% of the total bill; more if weather conditions are poor and usually $5 minimum.
• Takeout: 10% is appreciated, especially if the order is large, complex, or requires special handling.
• Hotel Staff: $1-5 per bag for porters, $2-5 per day for housekeeping, and $2-10 for concierge services.
• Hairdressers and Barbers: 15-20% of the total service cost.
• Taxi & Uber Drivers: 10-15% of the fare, plus an extra $1-2 if they help with luggage.
