In "Clock and Heart", the poetess says that the 'tyranny' of time can only be transcended by "human love one can escape the effects of time, no matter how much one rages against it. The poetess sought refuge in cutting herself off from the world, but soon she realizes that this cocoon too is a trap, It was only the power of love that truly allowed her to be free from the bondage of time. Instead of futile protests against time an obsession with poetry, the poetess advocates surrendering oneself to love. The poetess evokes emotional and intellectual responses from their readers. Judith Wrigh one such uses wide as the appropriate language and poetic techniques to challenges the responder with complex ideas, such finding inherent flaws in people nature and the folly of chasing total perfection in this poem. The idea of people in an individual place in the world is again apparent in Clock and Heart
