Political and cultural values are often separate.
The party system is neither condoned nor forbidden by the Constitution: there's no mention of political parties there.
NO. false.
It is true in that it exists. Therefore, it is not illusory or false.
Political Science is one of the social sciences, a liberal arts area of study. In its most basic form, a political scientist studies how and why governments operate. Questions as simple as, how does a democratic republic differ from a parliamentary system are analyzed and the information gathered are used to compare a variety of factors that cause each of these governmental operations to fail or to succeed.Political scientists study political theory. What ideas or social and economic factors are involved in determining how political theory influences the structure of a government. So far, the term of "science" has not been directly addressed. Yes, data is studied to formulate conclusions, however, unlike a "hard science" such as physics, there is an important difference. Here's an example: A physicist can measure by the use of instruments, such as satellites and telescopes how many light years the earth is from the nearest sun, outside of our galaxy. In political science, exactitude is, nor it can be as reliable as the science of physics. Here's a typical example. Based on human historical data, economic information and the long term unemployment rate of a nation, a political scientist can either predict or explain why a certain political party has dominated the government of the republic of XYZ.Given the same set of circumstances, or to more exact, the same values concerning the republic of XYZ, another political scientist can reach a totally different reason for the dominance of the political party previously mentioned. In fact, the latter political scientist can boldly make a prediction that nation XYZ will soon turn towards another political party to dominate XYZ.These are not mere "opinions". They are based on the interpretation of basically the same facts. The closest area of study that uses the science of math to add to the rational of calling the study of government a "science" lies with statistical analysis. For instance, voting patterns that measure income and voter locations ( rural or urban ) can be, with statistics that create a graph. The graph can perhaps display tendencies and when a point of critical mass will make a radical or subtle change in how voters vote.Additionally, graphs and charts can be created to measure the percentage of eligible voters vote or do not vote. Based on how the data samplings were made, ways to increase voter "turn out" can be extrapolated. It is also well known that over the past 40-50 years, TV media can use election exit polls to make a prediction on which candidate will win an election. There will be a standard percentage of deviation, however the newscaster won't explain that to the audience, it being a bit burdensome. All the mathematics, however lends itself to political "science" however it's not the same science of the physicist. As an aside, Karl Marx used "science" to explain political revolutions. His science has proven to be a false one based on his overlooking of certain human elements such as nationalism, or the influence of religion. In the US, and using 1776 as a starting point, this writer can think of one US president that was a Catholic. And, there are tens of millions of Catholics in the US.
