No. While The Bible DOES say:"...Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will get saved..."(Acts 16:31,33,34)(John 3:16), it's important to compare other scriptures to get a complete picture. Even the demons 'believe' , but that isn't going to save them (James 2:19).
The Bible indicates that belief is important, but much more is needed. Matthew 24:13 says:"...the one who stands firmto the end will be saved."(NIV) We need to Prove ourselves faithful even to death, to get that crown of life.(Revelation 2:10-11)
Though learning and believing in Christ is a life altering experience, it is definitely possible for one who has been in a saved state, to fall away(Hebrews 6:4-6)(Hebrews 10:26-27). Christians need to constantly seek God's righteousness, meekness...seek God's will and be DOING it if we hope to earn the right to live forever(Zephaniah 2:2-3) It's not going to be an easy thing, being saved at the end of God's judgment. We have to earn it. We have to exert ourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door...that many will seek to get in but will not be able(Luke 13:24)(Matthew 7:13-14). The Apostle Paul said even HE did not feel like he was automatically approved(Philippians 3:12-16)saying: 'I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.' (1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NASB) This involves putting up a hard fight to continually DO God's will (Matthew 7:21-23)(James 1:22) and then stay faithful to it(Jude 3)(John 15:2, 6) . We must 'choose life'...and stick with it, just as the Israelites had to, if they wanted to inherit the Promised Land(Deuteronomy 30:18-20) .
baptist believe once saved always saved where as freewill baptist do not believe this. I am freewill baptist i hope this answer helps you :)
They believe once saved always saved and you cannot lose your salvation once you are born again by the Holy Spirit. This is based on the scriptures. See John 10:27 through verse 30.
People sin even when they are saved. Every is human and has The fleshly desires still in them... But with God's Help u can break free from the Flesh.
Calvin broke away from Luther because Luther did not believe in 'once saved always saved'.All sins are forgiven, Yesterday, today and the future..
The doctrine of "once saved, always saved" is not compatible with Catholic beliefs. The Catholic Church teaches that salvation is a lifelong journey that requires ongoing faith, good works, and cooperation with God's grace.
Maybe because the Bible is the truth, and Mormonism is a cult.... I'd go with what the Bible says, not what a group of people believe.
Oh, what a lovely question! Both the Nazarene Church and the Assembly of God Church are Christian denominations that share some similarities, such as their belief in the Bible and in the teachings of Jesus. However, they also have differences in their specific doctrines, practices, and worship styles. It's wonderful to see your curiosity about different faith traditions - there's so much beauty in diversity!
Either because the specific people you are speaking of don't understand the difference between the two concepts, or because since they believe both are false, they both go in the same category.
There is a theological debate about whether a saved person can lose their salvation, with various perspectives among different Christian denominations. Some believe in the concept of "eternal security" where once saved, a person cannot lose their salvation. Others believe that it is possible for a saved person to walk away from their faith and reject their salvation. Ultimately, this is a complex issue that varies depending on one's theological beliefs.
