There are not three practices required of all Catholics there are six and the precepts of the Church are set in the context of a moral life bound to and nourished by liturgical life. The obligatory character of these positive laws decreed by the pastoral authorities is meant to guarantee to the faithful the very necessary minimum in the spirit of prayer and moral effort, in the growth in love of God and neighbor:

To attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.

To observe days of fast and abstinence.

To go to Confession once a year.

To receive Communion at least once a year during the Easter season.

To contribute to the support of the Church.

To obey the laws of Matrimony.

There are not "three main prayers" that every Catholic should know, there are any number of prayers that every Catholic should know. For instance, the very basic prayer that every Catholic should know would be the most Holy Mass, which consists of innumerable prayers. To celebrate the Holy Mass worthily, one must be in a state of grace, which means one must attend confession regularly.

A person should pray the rosary daily, which would involve knowing the Sign of the Cross, the Apostle's Creed, the Our Father, the Hail Mary, the Glory Be, and the Salve Regina (Hail, Holy Queen). A Catholic should know the Confiteor by heart, along with the Act of Contrition. In addition, he must know the Act of Faith, the Act of Hope, the Act of Charity (Love), the Morning Offering, and the Angelus. Those would be considered the bare minimum of vocal prayers that every Catholic should know by heart.

In addition, they should know how to perform mental prayer which is beginning Catholic prayer, also known as meditation, although I prefer to avoid that word since it is so confused with Eastern meditation which has no relation to Catholic meditation at all, save the word.

And it goes without saying that one should know the Blessing before meals, and grace after meals, etc.
