Living in a society that values freedom of religion allows people to choose for themselves how they are to worship. It would also influence self-assurance that the religion an individual is choosing to follow is the right one for them. People are able to explore their faith and beliefs therefore these people can learn from each other. People would not be biased in their own religion; they would be less inclined to follow a certain religion because the rest of the society they are surrounded by does. There is more insight into aspects of other religions available so that people can choose. People would learn to tolerate differences in other beliefs and would allow the ability to understand religious and cultural differences including beliefs, practices, rituals, clothing and food. When people take the time to get to know another faith discrimination is minimised. Many faiths feature in aspects that are similar such as the belief in one God - this can create unity and a sense of belonging to society.
