∙ 15y agoSiri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is considered as the living Guru of Sikhs. Depending on the arrangements of the Gurudwara, usually Guru Granth Sahib is kept in a room where it is placed in a bed and in the morning it is installed for Sikhs and again in the evening it is kept back in its room.

∙ 13y agoIt is kept in a separate room at night. In that room there is a bed. Sometimes, when there is more than one Guru Granth Sahib in a Gurdwara, there is more than one bed in that room.

Why is the Guru Granth sahib kept in a room?
The Guru Granth Sahib is the embodiment of all the of previous gurus, Guru Gobind Singh Ji commanded that the Guru Granth Sahib be our guru after him. The Guru Granth Sahib isn't though of as a book, it is thought of as a Guru, a person. Notice that the Guru Granth Sahib does not have page number, but aangs (body parts). As every indiviudual has a room in which they sleep, the Guru Granth Sahib has a room to rest in as well.
