The wise men came to a house when Jesus was a "child." They did not show up the night he was born. They wouldn't have noticed the shepherds at all.
The Bible doesn't identify the three wise men by name but religious traditions and legends have given them a variety of different names. The Western Christian tradition identifies them as Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar.
