The Guru Granth Sahib is the Sikhism holy book. The tenth Guru; Guru Gobind Singh; decided that there wasn't going to be another living Guru; the guru Granth Sahib would take his place and teach Sikhs the correct way of life. It is treated like another living Guru and all copies are absoluteky identical. Until very recently, all copies were hand written! When carried, it is usually olaced on the head with a cloth and a pillow to show respect for it.
