Smokers for many years have always smoked paper cigarettes before smoking e-cigarettes. From the analysis of the composition, the damage of e-cigarettes is indeed lighter than that of paper cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes are usually divided into two parts: electronic atomizers and nicotine-containing liquids (e-liquid). These two parts are similar to the relationship between pen and ink, syringe and medicine. The principle of electronic cigarettes is to atomize e-liquid

No, electronic cigarettes, or e-cigarettes, are not safe for children, teens, or anyone who has not already been smoking. They contain nicotine, which is highly addictive and can harm brain development in children and teens. Additionally, e-cigarettes have been linked to lung injuries and deaths, and the long-term health effects of using e-cigarettes are not yet known. It is illegal to sell e-cigarettes to minors in many countries, and it is important to keep e-cigarettes and their refill liquids out of the reach of children and teens.

I replaced cigarettes with e-cigarettes. Much less harmfull....much less money.

E-cigarettes do contain nicotine and therefore...addicting. But they DO NOT contain the over 500 chemicals and the tar from smoke..e-cigs have no smoke...but produce a vapor. Works for me.

As of early 2012 there have been no extensive peer reviewed studies on the impact of electronic cigarettes on humans. The dangers of e-cigarettes are actively being done, but there are a lot of areas that have yet to be fully discovered, thus it is incredibly hard to give any information that is scientifically proven with needed medical testing. But the two things that are obvious are that they don't cause premature ageing as bad as cigarettes do. If you don't prefer e-cigarettes, you can always use other products like nicotine gum.

Electronic cigarettes are not currently approved by the FDA. Last year the FDA announced that they had concerns as the the safety of electronic cigarettes claiming that they contained toxic chemicals. Recently the American Medical Association recommended that the FDA ought to regulate electronic cigarettes in the same way as they would other controlled substances, so far the FDA has not responded to this recommendation. Bear in mind the power of the tobacco and pharmaceutical industries here and their interests. Making a product like this widespread would constitute a substantial loss in tobacco and nicotine replacement therapy revenues. So far clinical trials have not been conducted as to the safety of electronic cigarettes but this is a moot point considering how harmful the product they seek to replace is (regular cigarettes). In fact Cancer Research UK has come out and stated that whatever the risks, they are nowhere near the risks associated with tobacco smoking. Do your research if you are in the market for an e-cig, you'll have far more trouble finding the right product for you than you will have troubles with your health. Read the customer reviews online and see for yourselves just how many people have been able to quit smoking as a result of using electronic cigarettes.

E-cigarettes themselves cannot, but the liquid solution used by them may or may not. Nicotine has been cited to be a cause of heart disease, but a lot of doctors say it poses no significant threat to healthy individuals on it's own. Of course, consulting your doctor is a must, as I am not licensed to give medical advice. :)

As a former smoker and now an ecig user, I believe that ANYTHING has to be better for you then regular cigarettes.

Independent studies say it is anywhere from 100-1,000 times better then cigarettes. So yes it is better for you then regular cigarettes and there hasn't been any ecig reported deaths.

The real question is are they really 100% healthy. In theory without all the harmful chemicals in it is should be. But, it is too soon to tell, they haven't been around long enough for any conclusive answers. The FDA has taken the position that they don't really care if they are better and therefore not going to test the theory.

Yes, e-cigarettes are better to smoke than real cigarettes. There is no tobacco, tar, carbon monoxide or any other carcinogens in the vapor that is released from traditional e-cigarettes. They are also safer for the people around you in that there is no smoke released, only a vapor that is primarily water, nicotine, propylene glycol and flavor. An example is Cigarti™ e-cigarettes. Cigarti™ contains only water, propylene glycol, nicotine, and a scent that imitates tobacco and fruit flavors. Cigarti™ has been extensively tested and the cartridges have been toxicologically tested and none of the ingredients are considered cancer-causing agents. Cigarti™ also holds CE & ROHS certifications. From an addiction standpoint, however, they are basically the same. Nicotine is a highly addictive substance found in tobacco, and this substance is found in most e-cigarettes.
