Sociology and education are closely intertwined as sociology studies how societies function and interact, while education is a key social institution that shapes individuals and societies. Sociology helps us understand the social factors that influence education systems, such as inequality, socialization, and cultural norms. Education, in turn, can be studied sociologically to analyze how it perpetuates or challenges social structures and inequalities.
