Dodecane is a hydrocarbon and contains only two elements, carbon
and hydrogen.

Dodecane will burn from a wick but a pool of liquid dodecane can
only be ignited if the temperature is raised to around 75 degrees
Celcius. A pool of dodecane will ignite spontaneously at around 203
degrees Celcius, just below its boiling point.
