What AC charger does the Hummingbird VHF5 uses?

It uses a 12 Volt AC/DC charger. The charger has been discontinued, but a universal charger will work, center pin is the positive on the VHF5 radio.

Added 3-26-2016:

The product is actually Humminbird VHF5, ie. no "g". Not many universal chargers have the right connector jack to fit the VHF5. A jack that does fit is:

Philmore 204 DC Power Coaxial Plug, 3.5mm x 1.3mm

I bought one at Fry's for $1.29 USD. You can solder the jack to the leads of your 12 V power supply, respecting the polarity. The VHF5 battery has circuitry to control the charging of the nicad battery. It appears to use a thermosensor that monitors the battery's temperature while charging, and uses this to control the charging process. So, my guess is that if you use a power supply with too little or too much power, it won't yield the optimal battery lifetime. It would be best to try and match the power of the VHF5 charger if you can find out what that is.
