Salt- My body of water is a salt body because the water coming to the ocean comes from the rivers. The water flow in rivers picks up small amount of mineral salts from the rocks and soil of the riverbeds and dumps it in the ocean. Ocean water evaporates through water cycle, leaving the salt behind. As time passes the remaining water in the ocean gets saltier and saltier. The saltiest water bodies are the Red Sea and Persian Gulf.

Endangered marine species include the dugong, seals, turtles, and whales. Oil and ship threatens the Arabian Sea, Persian Gulf, and the Red Sea. A great amount of fishes are at stake.

Humans fish for marine life. Fishes are an Important resource for domestic consumption & exporting- shrimp and tuna mainly. Transportation is another big use of the Indian Ocean. Exporting and Importing goods-allowing countries to speed up there developing process and help there economy thrive more.

This body of water affects the human ecosystems and marine life (Aquatic life ecosystem). Humans won't have a direct supply of water and won't be able to get goods exported and imported. If the Indian Ocean gets contaminated more severely, then Marine life will not have a good chance of surviving.

Yes this body of water is a threatened resource. Many oil spills and pollution occur in this area and threaten the marine life. They won't be able to breath and will probably get diseases, infections etc. Due to global warming the Indian Ocean is getting hotter and hotter. Nowadays many tornados and Cyclones occur in this area. The amount of Monsoons have been increasing.

Yes many changes have happened to this area in the past 25 years. The temperature has been slowly increasing and more natural disasters have been occurring-occurred. In 2004 an earthquake and tsunami struck Ao, Nang. The recorded magnitude was between 9.1 and 9.3. The highest ever recorded since.
