Surya Siddhanta is one of the ancient doctrines of Hindus and
refers to Archeo-Astonomical principles and studies. It referes to
measurement of time, calendar, days, months, years, eclipses,
Earth, Sun, Moon and other celestial bodies and astronomical
studies. The original author is not known. However, Surya Siddhanta
has found frequent mentions in the works of prominent Astronomers
like Varahmihir, Aryabhatta, etc.
