To some people, Hollister is the best produce. But in reality, the only thing that makes it "popular" is the sweet-smelling perfume, which draws people into the store. Also, as you walk into the store, you're surrounded with perfectly portioned mannicans which look good in anything they dress them up with. Anyone could buy the same exact jeans for a much lower price, much like anyother clothes people buy at Hollister (HCO).

Why is Hollister so exspensive?
It's not so expensive. It's a cheaper version of it's expensive older brother/sister Abercrombie & Fitch. It is more expensive than discount stores, but it tries to maintain a similar image to the Abercrombie brand in that it does not do sales (though it does put things on clearance), it does not externally advertise (so it is dependent on people wearing it's clothes). It usually is considered in competition with American Eagle, though it maintains a more "snooty" persona.
