This happened to me whereby I must have experienced reported Ambien disassociation and took morphine and other pills possibly and overdosed. My wife saw me in bed, foam in mouth, out of it, and when I arrived in the ER room, my breathing stopped for about 5 seconds.

I spent over 3 weeks in ICU with renal, pulmonary, and possibly brain failure (at least delerium), and also had the gift of respiratory pneumonia.

Before I took Ambien, I never experienced disassociation. When I arrived home, I took Ambien twice and I felt like I was in a party, heard voices, laughter, and tried to hide this from my wife; also, my vision was very foggy and I could not navigate well. I could not even read a thermostat.

This cost me out of pocket about $20K with excellent insurance, and the bills are coming. I cannot sue any doctor b/c the authorities say that both Ambien and Morphine have "Moderate" synergestic effects.

I hope this story provides a warning against those in pain, and those stupid enough to use any opiates with respiratory depressant, like alcohol, downers, Ambien - or for that matter, opiates with anything, nor opiates for a reason, namely, intractable pain. Thanks.

I take 10 mg. Ambien at night, (to sleep) and my dog accidently ate my Ambien pill last night before I realized it . I imagine the effect will be full on, as in full effet, instead of timed releasee to help you fall asleep, stay asleep, and get good sleep, i bet you just get totally woozy, slightly hallulcnatory, and possibly unable to move, since zolpidem seems to dull down nerve response to the point the point of crippling. woohoo!
