.357 Magnum uses more powerful loads and produces much higher pressure than the .38 special. Shooting a round with .357 pressures in a .38 gun is very likely to blow it up.

.357 Magnum has a longer case than the .38 Special. This was done specifically to prevent .357 ammunition from being chambered in .38 revolvers.

Depends on the revolver. Just flipped through one of my references, and it lists 13 different .32 revolver cartridges- not counting the obsolete .32 rimfires. While the most common is probably the .32 S&W, you are not holding your revolver close enough to the computer for me to identify the caliber. Have a gunsmith take a look at it- most of those 13 I mentioned do NOT interchange.

Depends on what you are shooting. A Modified Choke gives a medium "squeeze" to the pellets passing thru the end of a shotgun barrel, thus producing a denser pattern of shot. A full choke squeezes more, and a cylinder choke, not at all. A denser pattern may mean slightly greater range with birdshot- but it will also mean the shot pattern is smaller, reducing the chance of hitting a bird in flight. In general, modified is a "middle of the road" choke, and fairly useful in hunting- but not in skeet, trap, or sporting clays.

Maybe because there is a two front war that is being fought requiring large amounts of ammunition to be used by soldiers who actually need it more than the ordinary citizen.

NO ! In general, Damascus barrels were made for LOW pressure black powder loads. There are exceptions, but they are few. I do not recommend firing ANY Damascus barreled shotgun with ANY ammo until a gunsmith familiar with that type of barrel has inspected and borescoped it. Damascus barrels were made by wrapping hot strips of steel (or iron, or both) around a rod, reheating, and hammering until they welded together. Each weld (and there are thousands) is a potential point of failure IF the gun has been exposed to corrosion- like that that comes with firing black powder. I would retire it to a place of honor above the fireplace.

The answer depends on the barrel elevation angle, the bullet weight, bullet velocity, and the ballistic coefficient of the projectile. Do a Google search on "ballistic calculator" and you will be led to several sites that will let you input those variables and then will provide the answer you seek.

SIMPLER ANSWER: If you mean the maximum range a .22LR (.22 long rifle) bullet will travel if you fire it into the air at an angle (let's say around 30 to 40 degrees), that's about 1.5 miles or about 2000 meters.

If you mean the maximum effective range to use a .22LR gun for hunting or target shooting, most people would say that 100 yards is the limit unless you have an amazingly accurate gun with an excellent scope fired from a steady bench rest support. Then you could go to 200 yards after some practice and assuming little wind that day.

I'm assuming you're asking if a .380 round can be fired in a 9mm handgun. The answer is, yes, it may be possible, but it is not a good idea to fire any cartridge in a gun other than the correct caliber for that specific gun.

THAT WAS SARCASM!! NO!!! DO NOT PUT CARTRIDGES DESIGNED FOR ONE RIFLE INTO ANOTHER - - the .30-30 is an older, lower pressure round, and it has a rimmed cartridge (the bottom rim of the ctg. sticks out further than the body so it can be grabbed and pulled out of the Marlin's chamber). The .308 (7.62X51) is rimless, so there's no way to pull it out of the chamber, even if you could Force it to go in, which I doubt, because the .30-30 is .401 inch at the shoulder and the 7.62X51 is .454 inch at the shoulder. There are other size problems as well - - think of putting your size 9 WIDE foot into a size 8 NARROW shoe if that helps you picture it.

If you managed to get a 7.62X51 round into your .30-30 and pulled the trigger you'd likely get a face full of metal. If you want to be maimed for life, ask a friend to hit you with a claw hammer - - don't ruin a perfectly good old rifle in the process.

Technically speaking- none. A bullet is the solid metal part of a cartridge that is fired out of the barrel. How much gunpowder is in a 9mm Parabellum CARTRIDGE will depend on the powder used and the bullet weight. I reload with 4.6 grains of Bullseye powder with a 115 gr bullet, but there are dozens of other loads.

It's like any non-plus P rated pistol. Can you do it? Yes. Should you do it? That's your choice. The LCP is NOT rated for +P and there have been instances of barrel burst incidents. Yet, there are also plenty of people who haven't had issues.

There is no .338 Lapua Super Magnum. There is a .338 Lapua Magnum which is considered a member of "Super Magnum family".

.338 LM uses several different bullet types and drop will depend on bullet type and weight.

If your barrel is marked .300 Savage then you can shoot .300 Savage ammunition by any manufacturer. I do not know of a "300 Savage Winchester Magnum".

Yes. The bullet is only the projectile. A bullet with case, powder, and primer is a cartridge. A cartridge without powder or primer is called a dummy cartridge because it will fit into a firearm but will not fire. Dummies are used for non firing training with weapons, and for display purposes.
