Well, it was a british lawyer that lauched amnisty international, after he visited Portugal during the dictatorship times. he was sitting at a caffe and two students got up and yelled "Liberdade!" ("Freedom!") and they immediatly arrested by the government police. the lawyer was in shock and founded amnisty international to release those students. he succeeded, by the way.
