Is Hiragana written in pencil the same as Hiragana written with a calligraphy brush?
It's written in the same order of line strokes, but it's more stylized with the brush. You push down harder and lift to get lines that start thick and end thin and at times make drag marks when continuing to the next brush stroke. You're still writing the exact same word.
Why does my calligraphy pen bleed?

Yes, inside Roman homes and buildings was art on the walls and mosaics on the floors. The art wasn't calligraphy nor geometric designs, but of people and animals doing all sorts of things in life. Some of it was pretty graphic showing different sexual positions of couples. This art was in private homes and public buildings. If you visit a place like Pompeii that was buried since 79 AD you can still see the art work on the walls. The colors are vibrant and clear and there is no mistake about the subjects. Romans also decorated their graves with pictures of themselves and the things they did in life. That is one reason why historians know so much about the lives of ancient Romans.
