Pre Vatican II it was the custom for the bishop to tap each confirmed person on the cheek everywhere in the Church, not just in Poland. It was hardly felt. It was not really much of a slap. I know I approached confirmation with a bit of trepidation when I was a child, fearing that slap that never came.
Why did Destiny Hope change her name?
She likes the name but the only person that has ever really called her that was her grandmother. And her grandmother still calls her that. But she probably chnaged it because her nickname was smiley because she would always smile so much and they use to call her smiley-miley and they shortned it to Miley. So she probably just got so use to the name miley that she decided to stick with that name. And in 2008 she legally changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus.
