Cleopatra only had two husbands and they were her brothers. Ptolemy XIII would have been her first husband before she took up with Marc Antony.

Cleopatra was the last Pharaoh because after her death, Egypt lost its independence and became a province of Rome and was ruled by the Romans under Roman law. Her children were not allowed to rule Although her daughter became a queen by her marriage to king Juba, she did not rule in Egypt.

She didn't make the world a better place, in fact sh added to its turmoil by her greed and her meddling in her neighbors' business. She caused a costly war between the Nabatean Arabs and Herod and, though her manipulation of Antony, had eyes on the kingdoms to the east of Egypt and some say even Rome itself.

There were many famous pre-17th century women, such as Julia Augusta (Livia), Eleanor of Aquitaine, Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots and Isabella of Spain.

Well she loved Marc Antony but after he took the cowards way out and killed himself she was taken prisoner by Octavian, later Cesar Augustus who turned the roman republic into the roman empire. I do not know if she was ever married, I doubt it though

Cleopatra was not a strong leader. She was entirely dependent upon Rome for her very existence. She had no army or any type of military protection, except that given to her by Rome. That is the reason that she had to use her personality to manipulate Caesar and Antony into becoming her protectors.

Cleopatra is always shown as beautiful not short and fat, but you have to remember that the statues of all Egyptian rulers were stylized and only the face gives us clues as to who they were, if there is no inscription. However there is some evidence that she was a bit on the hefty side. A Dr. Martin Weaver did research on Cleo's appearance and modeled a head that is supposed to be her likeness. He based his findings on all the various coins and carvings of Cleopatra. The results are published in the Book by Diana Preston. The conclusion is that she was "quite plump".

There is also the fact that obesity, probably due to inbreeding, was apparent in the Ptolemies. One of Cleo's grandfathers, Ptolemy VIII, was nicknamed "Potbelly" because he was very short and grotesquely fat. The woman some think was Cleo' mother was Cleopatra V, Tryphaena, which means Opulent or Opulent One. That could very well be a polite nickname for a beefy queen. Also, Plutarch states that before her death, Cleopatra ordered a sumptuous meal and there's numerous instances of lavish banquets that she either attended or hosted. She obviously liked to eat.

As for her ability to seduce Caesar and Antony, that can be discarded. Both men were notorious womanizers and would bed down anything in a stola for any reason. Another thing to remember is that the ideal of feminine beauty in the time of Cleopatra was different than today's concept.

Cleopatra committed suicide. Just exactly how we don't know. It's suspected that she took a poison of some kind. There is a myth that she killed herself by being bitten by an asp (cobra), but this is just a story with no truth in it.

There actually is some evidence. When they had finally caught Cleopatra, they let her go to the treasury to pay respects to Mark Anthony. They let her be. She was there with her two ladies in waiting. When the Romans came in, Cleopatra and one of the ladies in waiting was dead, one was dying. Killing people with snakes venom was a popular way to kill criminals in Alexandria. Asp venom wasnt normally what they used, but it would have appealed to Cleopatra, for it was the symbol of the royal family. She commited suicide. She would rather be dead than in the hands of the Romans, walking in a roman triumph (parade) and being jeered at , people laughing at her. Or become a slave, she would hate that.

who knows????? Good question, because there was no Cleopatra X. The only other Cleopatra after Cleopatra VII was her daughter Cleopatra Selene. Ptolemy XII was the father of Cleopatra VII. It can be confusing, because there were many Cleopatras and many Ptolemys. The only way to sort them out is to make sure of the numbers after their names.

Here is a list of things Cleopatra loved: her pet lepord, her private house by the sea, writing, her physician Olympus, learning about her people, talking with her slave girl, Julius Caesar, mark Antony, and probably parts of her family.

Unfortunately, the above answer is strictly from some fiction book. In reality, we only have hints of the things that Cleopatra loved/liked and they were all self-centered. We know that she loved jewelry, eating, and manipulating others to get what she wanted.

With Mark Anthony she had a son Alexander Helios (and his twin sister Cleopatra Selene) in 40 BC., followed by another son, Ptolemy Philadelphus.

He died in 44 BC and she died in 30BC so obviously he was dead when she died.

Recently the palace complex of Cleopatra last queen of Egypt was discovered in the bay outside Alexandria Egypt 21 ft under the sea by Franck Goddio

and his team. The area appears to have suffered an earthquake sometime ofter Cleopatra's death which may have caused the whole harbour area to descend below the waves.

Like most Egyptian Pharaoh's Cleopatra used buildings and monuments as propaganda. A favourite way of self promotion was to have inscriptions made on temples. There are existing statues, and coins bearing her image, but the largest dedication to Cleopatra VII is at Dendra temple where her image is same 30ft high. She didn't built the temple it was built by her Ptolemaic predecessors by she remodeled it. Perhaps it was cheaper to redecorate than to rebuild?

Unfortunately Cleopatra's needle in America and London was built by Thutmosis III and not by Cleopatra VII though again her cartouche has been added to it at a later date.

Cleopatra's brother overthrew her in either the end of 49 or the beginning of 48 BC. She was not returned to power until Julius Caesar established her and her brother as co-rulers in 47 BC.
