It is important to note that French Congo is Congo-Brazzaville (Republic of Congo). Belgian Congo is Congo-Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), which is significantly larger.

Known as Zaire until 1997, there are over 200 distinct cultural or ethnic groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Several of the largest are Kongo, Luba, and Mongo. Christianity if the major religion, and main languages include French, Kongo, Swahili, and Lingala.
There was a great discussion between two people Mobutu Sese Seko and Laurent Kabila and their lid a fire between them. this is the reason why did the second Congo war start. Kabila purposely shot Mobuto to get on his place and the same happened.

He felt that he was not truly ruling Belgium because of parliament and felt the need for some recognition. He decided to gain that recognition by ruling a colony and then gaining money from it to be used to make monuments and parks.
