diphenyl carbazide

conc. HCl

ethanol

Method:

1. Dissolve 0.5g of diphenyl carbazide in 5mL of conc HCl.

2. Prepare a solution of 50%(v/v) ethanol by mixing 50mL 95%(v/v) ethanol and water.

3. Transfer the diphenyl carbazide solution in HCl to the 50% ethanol and mix.
