Because a movie's production profit depends on the project and depends on the producer, there is no fixed amount of money that can be quoted in answer to your question.

When a producer funds a film, the producer pays all the bills associated with the production, and then earns reimbursement for this investment and potential profits from distribution deals which insert the film into the distribution channel.

Funding film production, however, becomes vastly more complicated, since funding is usually sourced from several investors, studios and even back-end deals that featured actors make regarding revenues from the film.

As well, there are different kinds of 'producers' including executive producers, line producers, co-producers and so forth. Each has a series of tasks and a series of rewards involved, again depending on the project and the producer.
